A site tour of Rowe Middle School, Milwaukie High School, Ardenwald Elementary, and Linwood Elementary took place.

Prior to the site tour Jim Langstraat presented an abbreviated financial update.

Expenditures and encumbrances are catching up to the budget. Assets are currently under $100 million. Contingency dollars have been allocated to individual projects.

Rock Creek Middle School Project is currently out for bid. Recessionary times are attracting several bidders and costs are not increasing.

Eight additional school projects are occurring this summer:

Campbell – building upgrades, bleachers, kitchen remodel and safety improvements.

Milwaukie Elementary/El Puente – gym floor and window replacement

Mt. Scott – General building upgrades and office site improvements

Oregon Trail – Site improvements, general building and cafeteria upgrades.

View Acres – Computer lab flooring, office work has been delayed.

Rowe – The kitchen will be completed this summer.

Lewelling – Kitchen, office improvements and new flooring

Sabin/Schellenberg North – Adult Transition Program, Cosmotology, and modular classrooms.

Lot Whitcomb – flooring, play area upgrades

In addition:

Putnam High School: Kitchen, media center, various painting projects.

Milwaukie High School - Final finishing work on auditorium, new flooring in wrestling room, construction of track storage building, and replacement of unit ventilators in main building.

Verne A Duncan and Scouters Mountain Elementary schools will be complete by August.

Both schools are 7 weeks ahead of Happy Valley Elementary at this time last year.

All playgrounds will get drainage and border upgrades.

In the summer of 2010, Linwood will have a visible concrete patch in the courtyard corrected.
