PROJECT SUMMARY:

The Rock Creek Middle School Project is being constructed on a 21 acre site just east of 162nd Avenue in Happy Valley at 14897 SE Parklane Drive.  The new building will be approximately 127,000 SF.  Rock Creek MIddle School is being designed for 750 students.  The new middle school is scheduled to be put into operation for the start of 2010-2011 school year.

Site work including grading, underground utilities, perimeter roads, and building pad have been completed.  Emerick Construction has been awarded a contract to construct the building.  Work on under building utilities and foundations started in April 2009.  Construction of the building is expected to take 18 months.

Site Development Activities:  July 2008 - Dec. 2008
Building Construction: Dec. 2008 - July 2010
 
Upcoming Activities:
  • Road construction has been completed.
  • General Contractor has started construction of the building.  Floor slabs have been poured. 
  • Concrete block walls have been erected for the office and classroom wings.
  • Structural steel erection started in July and is 75% complete.
