PROJECT SUMMARY:
Emerick Construction completed an extensive remodel of Rowe Middle School in March, 2009. The following items are included in the project:
  • Expansion of the gym by 50% to create a full size middle school gym. This work included installation of folding bleachers that will accommodate seating of the entire 750 student population.
  • Expanded and remodeled lobby and new entry to the office
  • Complete remodel of the locker rooms
  • New choir room
  • Students lockers were replaced
  • Exterior and Interior painting
  • Replacement of chalk boards with dry marker boards
  • Installation of air conditioning for the counseling center
  • Elevator to the upper gym to create ADA access
  • Fire Sprinkling of the entire building and removal of hallway doors to increase visibility and safety
  • Upgrades of flooring, heating units, dry marker boards, lockers, and interior painting
  • New bus drop off, walkways to Lake Road along the bus access lane, improved parent drop off, and additional parking
  • Work on the interior renovations was completed in August, 2008. Work on the gym and choir room were completed in March, 2009.
SUMMER OF 2009 THE FOLLOWING WORK WAS COMPLETED:
  • Old floor tile in the halls and classrooms replaced
  • Remaining 14 classroom heating units replaced
  • Flooring in the upper gym will be upgraded
  • Kitchen remodeled.
  • Air Conditioning added to Computer Lab
